Through his many years of trial and error, not only has he been able to master bending steel but to curl and weave it, bringing the metals to a new level of inspirational functional art.
Sadlemire.com

Robert Sadlemire, the proprietor of Sadlemire Metal in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Specializes in more modern designs for the ornamental aluminum and steel tubing estate gates he fashions.”Some people do like to live a bit in the past and have the old feel of security you get with iron,” he says. ” Other clients are more open-minded and want something really different and cut me loose.” A metal sculpture artist by training, Sdlemire describes his style as combination of old and new school. His more modern creations often incorporate a fluid, free flowing floral motif – oversize manna leaf, palm trees, tangles of vines and may incorporate classic elements like scroll work. ” It really depends on the client” he says. ” Most clients want a lavish gate that fit to their personality.” His clientele tends to prefer basic black, occasionally opting for faux finishes, copper or hand wiped textures that create a centuries old aged look. ” High worth individuals really don’t want to shout, “look at my home,” he says. Most of Sadlemire’s designs take up to three months to organize and two to six weeks to fabricate on machines he’s process that gives him a competitive edge and prevents others from copying. _ Nancy Theoret
